Location and hours. Our collections are housed at the Museum Support Center (MSC) at 4210 Silver Hill Road, Suitland, Maryland. Collections appointments are available Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4:30 pm, excluding federal holidays. Archives appointments are available Wednesday through Friday, 9:30am to 3:30 pm, excluding federal holidays.

The Smithsonian operates a free hourly shuttle bus service from the National Museum of Natural History on the National Mall to the Museum Support Center. The shuttle runs from 8:00 AM to 6:15 PM, and departs from the Mall entrance of the museum on Madison Drive on the hour. It arrives at MSC 27 minutes later.
